These terms govern your use of connecticutfireescapepainting.com, operated by Mian Legal Entity, trading as Connecticut Fire Escape Painting. By using this website you agree with them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

These terms are not a contract for work

This is important, so we will put it first. These terms cover your use of this website only. They are not an agreement for us to carry out any work on any building.

If you instruct us to inspect, repair, paint, install or maintain a fire escape, that work will be governed by a separate written agreement between you and us, setting out the scope, the price and the terms applying to that job. Nothing on this website (including any description of our services, any estimated range or any past project) creates an obligation on either of us until such an agreement exists.

Using this website

You may use this site to learn about our services and to contact us. You agree not to:

use it for any unlawful purpose;
attempt to gain unauthorised access to it or to any system connected to it;
interfere with its operation or security;
copy, republish or redistribute its content commercially without our permission;
use automated systems to extract content in a way that places unreasonable load on it.

Information on this site

We try to keep the information on this website accurate and current, but we do not warrant that it is complete, accurate or up to date at any given moment. Descriptions of our services are general. What any particular fire escape needs can only be determined by examining it.

Enquiries and estimates

Contacting us (by phone, by email or by sending photographs) does not create a contract. We may decline any enquiry.

Any indication of price given before we have examined a fire escape is provisional. Fire escapes conceal their condition: preparation regularly exposes corrosion or damage that was not visible beforehand. A firm price can only follow an inspection of the actual structure, and will be set out in a written agreement.

Photographs you send us

If you send us photographs of a building, you confirm that you are entitled to do so. We will use them to assess the work and to communicate with you about it.

We will not publish photographs of your building, or identify it, without your permission. Where we ask to use images of completed work on this website or elsewhere, we will ask you first.

What we do not do

To be clear about the limits of our services:

We do not guarantee that any fire escape will pass any inspection by a fire marshal, building official or other authority. Compliance is determined by the authority having jurisdiction.
We do not file, submit or lodge documentation with any government agency on your behalf. Any report we produce is provided to you for your own use.
We are not engineers or architects and do not provide structural design, load calculations or professional certifications.
We are not a lead abatement contractor. Our EPA Lead-Safe certification covers working safely on painted surfaces; it does not cover lead testing, abatement or clearance.

Intellectual property

The content of this website (text, images, layout and design) belongs to us or is used with permission, and is protected by copyright and other laws. You may view and print pages for your own reference. Any other use requires our written permission.

Third-party links

This site may link to other websites for convenience. We do not control them, do not endorse them, and are not responsible for their content or practices.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Connecticut law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or from reliance on its content.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
